Conrado de Quiros, Shrek and My Book

On VISIONS AND REVISIONS appearing in There’s the rub by the great Conrado de Quiros, I’ve sent a feedback to INQ7 (which I don’t know if INQ7 published). I’ve reprinted it below just the same:

The words of Conrado de Quiros have always been either spot on or prophetic. His lines are exquisite – using such precise descriptive words to an utter ugliness that it just comes out beautiful. I suggest Imelda to use the wordings on the particular column as an epitaph.

The Arroyo comparison also made me thinking. Revision being the key word, the fake president could learn from the movie Shrek. They made such a nice job to portray a lovable ogre. I reckon it would be easier if they do it on a dwarf.

That makes the dream of an enchanted kingdom not really so “Far, Far Away.”

On a different note but equally important, I’ve got a response recently for my MESSIAH666 book (from a publisher) which goes:

Dear Mr. Rasheed,

We regret to inform you that we cannot facilitate to print and publish your book due to conflicts and issues that might arise because of the illustrations and wordings in your book.

We are hoping for your understanding regarding this matter. We are just protecting our company to possible controversy that might happen if we pursue accepting your book.

Thank You.

Sincerely yours,

(The Publisher)

Another stumbling block on the road to greatness…

Or must I remain a voice in the wilderness?

It’s another way of saying that my book coming out is also “Far, Far Away.”
