Early Doodles

These are some of my early sketches for Messiah 666. Rest assured, the "beast" is yet to come.

Pacquiao for President

The fake president, GMA, had set the bar at an all-time low. Ordinary Filipino's looking out for the common good could now be considered superheroes.
It's dire straits in the Philippines.
And like what most of the opponents of the mega famous Gensan pugilist the Pacmonster shout to deaf heaven, the Filipinos echo the same sentiment: "When will the hurting stop?"

But when "Garci" is god, that might be asking for too much.

“Don’t talk to me. Talk to my Lawyer”, paangas na sabi ni Abheng kay Berto.

“Kayabang ga nire.

Floyd Mayweather's YouTube Disgrace

I won't post the link, because the publisher likes to keep it clean here, but you'll be able to find it easily.

Don't bother with that story. Instead check out MESSIAH 666 at:
www.godspark666.blogspot.com

Once in paper, it's the thing to beat pound for pound.

Not even Pacquiao could top that.

Go now and "multiply" - all pun intended.

Conrado de Quiros, Shrek and My Book

On VISIONS AND REVISIONS appearing in There’s the rub by the great Conrado de Quiros, I’ve sent a feedback to INQ7 (which I don’t know if INQ7 published). I’ve reprinted it below just the same:

The words of Conrado de Quiros have always been either spot on or prophetic. His lines are exquisite – using such precise descriptive words to an utter ugliness that it just comes out beautiful. I suggest Imelda to use the wordings on the particular column as an epitaph.

The Arroyo comparison also made me thinking. Revision being the key word, the fake president could learn from the movie Shrek. They made such a nice job to portray a lovable ogre. I reckon it would be easier if they do it on a dwarf.

That makes the dream of an enchanted kingdom not really so “Far, Far Away.”

On a different note but equally important, I’ve got a response recently for my MESSIAH666 book (from a publisher) which goes:

Dear Mr. Rasheed,

We regret to inform you that we cannot facilitate to print and publish your book due to conflicts and issues that might arise because of the illustrations and wordings in your book.

We are hoping for your understanding regarding this matter. We are just protecting our company to possible controversy that might happen if we pursue accepting your book.

Thank You.

Sincerely yours,

(The Publisher)

Another stumbling block on the road to greatness…

Or must I remain a voice in the wilderness?

It’s another way of saying that my book coming out is also “Far, Far Away.”

Messiah 666: The Book Mythos

The Aswang is not quite what you thought it to be. Our ancestors have never been so wrong. But perhaps, that is how things were really intended to be.

Get the book now and get to know "him" better!

The Filipinos' modern National Hero, he (the pac-monster) is the object of their affection.

DIVINE INTERVENTION

“Unmoved by the great suffering that stares us all in the face, she once felt immune to the rampant onslaught which more than once was reinforced by her own incompetence. But in the end, Fate proved itself to be the cruellest – not one would be spared, even those that shared its most feared attribute. What a docile monster Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has become. What has happened to my flock?” The reverend typed on his journal before finally deciding to have it deleted. Never mind the separation of the church and state, he felt the entry now to be somehow most inappropriate. Besides, there is a matter more important than anything else to which he should be pre-occupied.

Still, the world-wide-web is home to the most appealing of distractions and a water hole for the necessary diversion. Two mails from the inbox caught his attention.

“Ah, how long has it been?” He said to himself. “The boy is coming back after such a short time. So, the event is drawing near after all.”

He decided not to dwell on it. Things would unfold the way it wanted to, he’ll just cross the bridge when he comes to it. Besides, his life is strange and arduous enough without the worry of such things.

Messiah 666 Preview: Horus Rising

Now, lifetimes pass one after the other. I was Jesus, Caesar and Alexander! I have no mother and no father. And what I say are the only things that matter.

Standing at the nexus of time and space, the question of Hermes echoed through the ages and is directed at me: Know ye not that ye are gods?”

Glad you like it!
